Dedicated to restoring quality of life in Kaiapoi

Craig Walker, of Kaiapoi Physiotherapy, is proud to have served the people of Kaiapoi and its surrounding area for 32 years – and will continue to meet their needs in the years to come.

The last 12 months have brought fresh challenges and changes, with September’s earthquake forcing a move to new premises on the corner of Cass and Williams Streets.

“I’m committed to this town, where I’ve spent most of my life. It’s fortunate that I was able to find this new site. It’s not perfect, but it’s working well,” says Craig.

Kaiapoi Physiotherapy provides rehabilitation for sports, spinal and orthopedic patients, with post-operative rehabilitation a particular focus. It is also certificated to accept ACC referrals, although since 2009 there has been a part charge for ACC patients.

However, a doctor’s referral is not required to take advantage of the services at Kaiapoi Physiotherapy. People with physiotherapy needs should not hesitate to call directly to make an appointment.

Craig also shares a physiotherapist, Brigette Higinbottom, with Rangiora Physiotherapy, providing another fully trained professional to meet the needs of the Kaiapoi community.

The September earthquake led to the demolition of Kaiapoi Physiotherapy’s previous premises in Charles Street. For three months, it operated from a room at the Kaiapoi Family Doctors’ Clinic in the Riverside Centre.

“We relocated to Williams Street in mid-December. It’s a prime location, there’s good parking and wheelchair access – we welcome your inquiries,” says Craig.
