Bright design from Cloud Nine
Cloud Nine Creative is the brainchild of North Canterbury jewellery designer and artist Lee Sinclair, whose beautiful and unique necklaces, earrings, rings and prints capture her flair for funky, contemporary style.
She launched the business in 2010, after returning home from overseas travel in the United Kingdom and Europe.
Combining her graphic design training with her long-time interest in craft led to this exclusive range. It has taken considerable research, experimentation and hard work: the results are simply gorgeous.
The jewellery, influenced by the latest European ideas and styles, is crafted from glass domes and antique brass settings, featuring floral themes and contemporary New Zealand designs.
“My goal is to create a bright, modern look and things that will make people smile. Like many other women, I wear a lot of black. I’m enjoying creating jewellery that contrasts with that – it just helps to give you a bit of a lift.”
Her Love Christchurch pendant necklaces and matching earrings to remember the February 22nd quake have proved an immensely popular fundraiser for the NZ Red Cross Earthquake appeal. Lee wishes to thank all those who have responded so positively to this highly sought-after collection.
