Design Project – Rangiora
Blue Tulip Interiors Design Consultant Sherry McAuley has recently worked closely with a Rangiora client to achieve the total look and feel they wanted, as part of a home renovation.
Sherry selected carpeting and then matched tiles in kitchen, bathroom, ensuite and entry areas. Blue Tulip Interiors made and fitted drapes for the entire home and crafted co-ordinating duvet covers for the guest suite. Their daughter’s bedroom was adorned with custom-designed Roman blinds, bed linen, cushions and feature wallpaper. Windows in wet areas were fitted with elegant washed-look venetian blinds. Textiles were harmonised with existing paintwork and selected to suit the client’s personality and favourite colours.
Blue Tulip Interiors, in association with “Design 5”, reupholstered a beautiful Louis chair, repaired an antique table, and provided a squab for a bay window and co-ordinated cushions for the living area.
In this Q&A, their client talks about the experience with Blue Tulip Interiors.
Q: What was it like working with Blue Tulip Interiors and how valuable was it to have someone like Sherry helping you through the process?
Working with Blue Tulip was easier than we imagined. While we knew what we wanted to achieve in our renovations it was a mine field to know where to start and what would and would not work. Sherry and Jude visited the house, talked with us and in no time at all came up with samples for us to view. We could never have achieved the end result ourselves.
Q: How satisfied were you with the services provided?
Our expectations were exceeded in every respect. The Blue Tulip team is passionate about their work. Sherry was constantly thinking of new ideas and emailing concepts to us to consider and giving us honest feedback about what would work best.
Q: To what extent was your input valued and your ideas incorporated into the final result?
Our views were considered at every step of the process. The final product is a perfect representation of what we like. Even our daughter had input in choosing her feature wallpaper.
Q: Do you feel that Blue Tulip Interiors delivered value for money?
Blue Tulip offers a quality service and product. It was money well spent. We would use them again in a heartbeat. Jude and the Blue Tulip team are simply outstanding.
